Handmade for Cats

先日から、オーダーメイドの

猫のトイレカバーハウスを制作しています。

今回はこれまで一度も制作したことのない、

“キャットタワーとの一体型”のトイレカバー家具。

自分自身も以前から

漠然とトイレカバーとキャットタワーの組み合わせた家具が

作りたいなと思っていたので、

制作しながらとてもワクワクしています。

一番下は、猫のトイレを隠しながら

落ち着いて使えるトイレカバースペース。

そしてその上に、

猫が登って遊べるキャットタワーを

組み合わせていきます。

まだ制作途中ですが、

この上にさらに段が重なり、

立体的なタワーになっていく予定です。

今回は完全な新作なので、

図面を作りながらも、

実際の強度や猫の動きを想像しながら

一段ずつ慎重に組み立てています。

お客様が最初に送ってくださったのは、

収納棚のような家具に

猫が出入りできるイメージ写真でした。

ただ収納家具ではなく、キャットタワーにしたいとの

ことだったので、

「見た瞬間にキャットタワーだと分かる」

デザインをご提案しました。

猫の居場所と、インテリアとしての美しさ。

その両方を両立できる家具になりそうで、

完成が今からとても楽しみです。

The customer initially shared reference images of storage-style furniture that cats could enter and exit freely.

However, they wanted it to feel like a true cat tower rather than just storage furniture, so I proposed a design that immediately looks recognizable as a cat tower at first glance.

The lower section functions as a hidden litter box space, while the upper structure becomes a climbing and resting area for cats.

Since this is my first time creating this type of furniture, I’m carefully checking the strength and balance step by step as the structure grows taller.

It’s been an exciting project from the beginning, and honestly, it’s becoming the kind of furniture I’d love to have in my own home as well.
