Handmade for Cats

こちらに越してきて

もうすぐ１ヶ月になりますが、

うちの子たちは

完全に？家猫になりました。

前の住まいでは

外に行きたがったら

リードをつけて散歩させたりしていたのですが、

こちらに来たら

もう外には出さないと決めていました。

今１ヶ月近く経ちますが

マルちゃんは多少玄関を開けた時に

外に興味ありそうなそぶりも見せますが

あれほどお外大好きだったヴァレの方は

そのそぶりは全く今のところないです。

こちらに来てから

窓辺に他の猫ちゃんが来ることが

結構あったため

もしかしたら外が怖いのかも？

という気もしないでもないです。

なにはともあれ

お家で満足してくれて

本当に良かったです。

ただ絶対脱走しないという

保証はないので

やはり気をつけないと

いけないですね。

It’s been almost a month since we moved here, and our cats have become complete indoor cats… at least for now.

Maru loves sitting by the window and watching the outside world. In our previous home, whenever he wanted to go out, I would put him on a leash and take him for a walk.

When we moved here, however, I decided that they would no longer go outside.

Now that nearly a month has passed, Maru still occasionally shows a bit of curiosity when the front door is opened. Surprisingly, Vallet—who used to love being outdoors even more than Maru—hasn’t shown any interest in going outside at all.

Since moving here, neighborhood cats have visited our windows quite often. Seeing them, I sometimes wonder if Vallet may actually find the outdoors a little intimidating now.

Either way, I’m truly happy that they seem content living indoors.

Of course, there’s never a guarantee that cats won’t try to make an escape, so we still need to stay careful and keep a close eye on them.
