猫のトイレカバーハウス制作の続きです。

今回はオーク塗装で仕上げ、

久しぶりに把手は真鍮をご注文いただきました。

真鍮は、使い込むほどに味わいが増し、

時間とともに表情が変わっていく素材です。

木の質感とも相性がよく、

空間にさりげない上質さを添えてくれます。

小さなツマミではありますが、

無垢の真鍮ならではの重みと存在感があり、

家具全体の印象をきゅっと引き締めてくれます。

個人的にもとても好きな素材のひとつです。

今回は収納棚が別扉の仕様なので、

こちらにも同じ真鍮のツマミを取り付けています。

収納部分もサイズが大きいため、

扉が分かれている方が日常的には使いやすくなります。

また、スライド引き出しには

大きなトイレでもスムーズに引き出せるよう、

しっかりと持ち手を付けています。

下の扉を取り付けたら、

いよいよ完成です。


This is a continuation of the production diary for a large litter box cover designed to fit a mega-size tray.

This piece is finished in an oak-tone stain, and this time brass handles were selected — a material I truly love. Brass adds a quiet sense of luxury and depth, and it ages beautifully over time, developing a richer character as it’s used. Its warm tone pairs naturally with wood, enhancing the overall presence of the furniture.

Though small, the solid brass knobs have a satisfying weight and a strong visual impact, subtly elevating the entire design.

The storage compartment is designed with a separate door, also fitted with matching brass hardware for both practicality and consistency. For larger storage spaces, separate doors make daily use much easier.

The sliding tray includes a handle for smooth operation, even with a large litter tray inside.

Once the lower door is attached, this piece will be complete.
