Handmade for Cats

前回の続きですが、

最近よく聞くようになった

「インナーテラス」も作ってもらいました。

広さは3畳ほどで、

椅子を置いて前の竹林を

のんびり眺められるスペースです。

このインナーテラスは

猫の脱走防止を考えて、

格子をつけてもらう予定にしています。

間隔は、2階であることと

うちの子たちが大きめな体格なことを考えて

8cmにしました。

うちの子たちは

ハーネスをつけてお散歩できるくらい

外が大好きな猫たちです。

ただ、引っ越しを機に

これからは外には出さず、

安全な室内で暮らしてもらおうと思っています。

このテラスは

外に出るための場所ではなく、

安心できる家の中から

外の光や風、景色を感じるための場所。

うちの子たちが

外を見たい時に、

自由にのんびり過ごせたらいいなと思っています。

猫と暮らす家v0l1-7

This house is being built as both a workshop and a home designed for living with cats.

During my recent site visit, I saw the progress of the inner terrace—a small, cozy space of about 3 tatami mats, facing a bamboo grove. It’s a quiet place where we can sit, relax, and enjoy the view.

The terrace is also designed with my cats in mind. Protective wooden slats will be installed to prevent them from escaping, allowing them to safely enjoy the outdoors from inside the house.

My cats love the outside world and are even used to walking with harnesses. However, after moving into this new home, I plan to keep them indoors.
This terrace is not for going outside, but for feeling the outside—sunlight, breeze, and scenery—while staying safe.

I hope this space becomes a peaceful spot where my cats can relax, watch the world, and feel connected to nature in their own way.
